Preparing for Carpet Installation

How do I prepare my home for carpet installation?

Before installation day, remove all items from the tops of furniture, including lamps, décor, and other breakables. Tie up or remove long drapes so they’re out of the way, and make arrangements for children and pets to stay safely away from the work area. We’ll take care of the rest and help ensure your space is ready for your new carpet!

Do I need to move my furniture before carpet installation?

No! Our professional installation team will carefully move your furniture as part of the installation process. We take care to protect your belongings and treat your home with respect. We’ll let you know if any special arrangements are needed for particularly heavy or delicate items.

Do I need to remove my old carpet before installation?

No need! Our professional installers will remove your existing carpet and take care of its disposal as part of the installation process. We’re also committed to keeping carpet out of landfills, so your old carpet won’t simply be thrown away.

Can carpet be installed while I’m living in my home?

Absolutely! Most carpet installations can be completed while you’re living in your home. You won’t be able to use the room while our team is working, but once installation is complete, you can walk on and enjoy your new carpet according to your installer’s guidance.
