Ceramic & Porcelain Tile

    Tile is scratch resistant, durable, and easy to take care of.  At Sergenian’s Floor Coverings, you’ll find ceramic tiles that resemble slate, marble, and travertine.  Many tiles use a multi-colored glazing process, so the color of tile you order will have many different shades of color blended together in the carton to make it appear as real as natural stone when it is installed in your home.

Is it Porcelain Tile?
    There are different types of ceramic tiles available, such as clay-bodied tiles and porcelain tiles.  Porcelain tile is a type of ceramic tile that uses porcelain clay and is fired at a much higher temperature to give you tile that is stronger and more resistant to scratches.  Every year, there has been an increase in the percentage of new styles that are porcelain, and most of the tile we show today is porcelain.  Standard clay tiles provide options at a more reasonable price than porcelain to meet all budgetary needs.
